The Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City is proud to announce a new venue for its annual South Jersey’s Men R’ Cookin’ event, which will be held in Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City’s new state-of-the-art conference center. This event represents one of the Club’s largest fundraisers of the year, benefiting youth development programs for hundreds of school-age children and teens in Atlantic City and surrounding communities. A true foodie event, Men R Cookin’ provides samples of more than 70 dishes including appetizers, salads, main courses and desserts – all created by local and amateur chefs. This year also features a new segment called “Kids R Cookin’ which highlight six Boys & Girls Club members, as they prepare and serve their very own recipes.
South Jersey’s Men R’ Cookin’ is presented by The Press of Atlantic City, Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City and 100.7 WZXL. The event has become one of the region’s favorite signature events due to its fun and engaging layout and free take home recipe book. Chefs work diligently to “wow” the event judges (from the Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape) with their mouth-watering recipes. This event is the perfect way to sample a wide array of wine and spirits, top-notch cuisine from home kitchens and award-winning restaurants – all for a worthy cause at an affordable price. The icing on the cake? Each person gets to take home the coveted Boys & Girls Club Men R’ Cookin’ recipe book filled with the recipes they sampled during the event.
This year’s exciting theme is “Sweet 15 – Madness in March! It’s a SLAM DUNK for our kids!”, and with that the Club will be sure to score points with its supporters by featuring the Kids R’ Cookin’ segment which is the perfect way to highlight this new program at the club of the same name. Kids R’ Cookin’ is just one example of the many impactful and life changing programs offered at the Club.
